Pine Needle Bath Salts Recipe

Forest therapy in your bath tub! What could be better?

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the pine needles: Gather clean and dry pine needles. Remove any debris or dirt. Chop or crush them into smaller pieces to release their aroma. You can use a mortar and pestle or simply chop them finely with a knife.

  2. Mixing the ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the Epsom salt and the chopped pine needles. If you're using pine essential oil for an extra scent boost, add it to the mixture and combine thoroughly.

  3. Infusion: Allow the mixture to sit in an airtight container or a glass jar for a few days to a week, letting the pine needles infuse their fragrance into the salt. Shake the container occasionally to help distribute the scent.

  4. Storage: Once the scent has infused into the salt to your liking, store the bath salts in an airtight container or jar. Make sure to label it with the contents and date.

Usage:

  • Add a generous handful or two of your pine needle bath salts to warm bathwater.

  • Stir the water to help the salts dissolve.

  • Enjoy a relaxing soak, letting the pine fragrance create a calming and refreshing atmosphere.

Always perform a patch test before using bath salts, especially if you have sensitive skin, to ensure you don't have any adverse reactions to the ingredients.
